• CHASKA 74, CHANHASSEN 71 [OT]: Chaska’s Jake White hit a buzzer-beating layup at the end of regulation, sending the game to overtime. His teammate Max Watts took over from there, scoring 5 of Chaska’s 9 overtime points. Senior forward Ross Travis led the Hawks with 24 points.

• COLUMBIA HEIGHTS 84, ST. FRANCIS 57: Coming off a 47-point performance against Cooper on Tuesday, Columbia Heights senior guard Zach Lofton had another big night against St. Francis, scoring 39 points. Lofton leads the metropolitan area in scoring, averaging 30.6 points per game. Senior guard Dontay Matthews led St. Francis with 27 points.

• ST. PAUL JOHNSON 70, SUPERIOR (WI) 66: Estan Tyler poured in 30 points and Marcus Marshall added 18 as the defending Class 3A state champion Governors held off pesky Superior in the first round of the East Side Classic.

• EAGAN 57, ROSEMOUNT 55: The Wildcats pulled out the win, despite the best efforts of Rosemount’s Evan Mitchell, who hit a three-pointer in the final seconds to pull his team within one at 56-55. Eagan’s Shea Mandli then made the lead two with a free throw before a last-second, halfcourt attempt by Rosemount fell short, sealing the win for Eagan.

• BENILDE-ST. MARGARET'S 86, TOTINO-GRACE 68: The Red Knights stayed atop the North Suburban conference with an 18-point victory over Totino-Grace. Junior guard Sanjay Lumpkin led Benilde-St. Margaret’s with 21 points. Isaiah Zierden and Will Dunn each added 19 points, while Kyle Washington scored 15. Junior guard Sam Meyer led Totino-Grace with 16 points.

• ARMSTRONG 92, COON RAPIDS 60: After becoming Armstrong’s all-time points and rebounds  leader last week, senior guard Marquel Curtis continued his breakout season, scoring 29 in a decisive win over the Cardinals. At 7-2, Armstong sits at third in the Northwest Suburban division behind second-place Blaine (7-1) and first-place Osseo (9-1).

•  FARMINGTON 50, NORTHFIELD 49, OT: Down by one with seven seconds left in regulation, Northfield senior Otto Pfefferle hit one of two free throws to tie things up before a missed three-pointer by Farmington’s Alex Michels missed a three-pointer to send the game into overtime. At the end of overtime though, the tables were turned as Northfield, now down by one, missed a three-pointer of their own to seal the win for the Tigers. Pfefferle scored 21 points, a game-high.

•  ST. ANTHONY 70, BLAKE 69: Junior center Anthony Brama’s 33 points and eight rebounds proved just enough for the Huskies to eek out the win over Blake, which missed a late three-pointer that would have tied the game.

•  OSSEO 89, CENTENNIAL 72: There was plenty scoring to go around for the Northwest Suburban-leading Orioles in their victory over Centennial. Senior forward Joey Sonnenfeld posted a double-double with 25 points and 10 rebounds.
